This picture is extremely special to me. It was last picture of him alive. A week before he died I went to visit with him and had a really strong desire to take a picture of him with Aaliyah. I left the house without the camera thinking I was just being morbid. I ended up caving in so I turned around and got the camera. I will be forever grateful for that... I am also very thankful for the fact that I got to tell him thanks for everything he has done for me... that I loved him... and goodbye.
"Ike" was born February 03, 1914 he died January 23 and his body was discovered on my birthday. (January 25th) He died just shy of his 95th birthday. Our family and his friends from the bowling alley he always went to decided that we should still have his party because he was looking forward to it for so long. This is a picture of one of the cakes we had.
